About Artgold

Artgold (Arts & Culture Goldfields Association inc) was formed by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder in response to the community’s calls for a support group for the arts community. A three-year funding agreement commenced in 2008.

Artgold’s mission is:

  • To support local artists and art groups, craftspeople & artisans
  • To build a solid arts network and database within the Goldfields
  • To create and attract events to the region
  • To showcase local talent to the wider community

A paid coordinator is employed by Artgold to be the liaison point between artists, arts volunteers, arts workers and groups. A volunteer chairperson and committee oversee the association’s operations. Committee meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month and anyone who has an interest in arts, culture & the community is encouraged to come along.

Artgold & the Community

Artgold promotes arts activities throughout the community and encourages participation in artistic endeavors, joining arts groups and associations, or creating arts opportunities at existing events or market days.
