Position: General Manager - Artgold
Location: Kalgoorlie-Boulder, WA
Employment Type: Full-time (subject to ongoing funding)
Salary: $90,000–$100,000 per year, commensurate with experience

Artgold is the peak body for arts and culture in the Goldfields of Western Australia, supporting local artists, cultural practitioners, and community engagement through advocacy, programs, and events. We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead our organisation into its next phase.

The Role:
Reporting to the Committee, the General Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, governance, and strategic development of Artgold, and lead the delivery of Artgold’s gallery exhibitions and community programs, supporting creative engagement across the region. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional with a passion for arts and culture, community engagement, and organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and operational management to ensure effective governance and compliance.
Lead advocacy initiatives that promote arts and cultural development across the Goldfields.
Build and maintain strong relationships with artists, community groups, government, and stakeholders.
Oversee planning and delivery of programs, events, and projects aligned with Artgold’s mission.
Manage budgets, funding applications, reporting, and organisational resources.
Implement and leverage digital tools for communication, engagement, and administration.
Key Skills and Experience:
Strong governance and leadership experience in a not-for-profit, arts, or cultural environment.
Strong financial literacy, including budgeting, reporting, and grant management.
Demonstrated advocacy and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proven experience in strategic planning, project management, and organisational development.
Excellent digital literacy, including familiarity with communication platforms, project management tools, and reporting software.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to inspire and lead a small team.
