We honour the many nations and vibrant traditions that have flourished here for millennia. As the traditional custodians of this land, the First Nations peoples have woven a rich heritage of arts, culture, and storytelling. We pay our deepest respects to their Elders, past and present, who have been the stewards and storytellers of these vibrant cultures. We also celebrate the young people who will rise as the next generation of leaders, guardians of their ancestral lands and cultural legacies.
