This exhibition is the outcome of the Northern Star Heritage Writers Project, featuring 10 artworks from the Golden Mile Heritage Collection, each paired with an original short story by local Goldfields–Esperance authors. The stories respond to both the selected artworks and the 2026 Australian Heritage Festival theme, “Change – How has history changed us, and how are we changing history?”
This collaborative project celebrates the region’s rich heritage while inviting contemporary voices to respond, reflect, and reimagine the stories that shape our community.
